Genesis 1:26 tells us that God used words, the Spirit in his mouth, to bring the world back in order and alignment according to his original design and plan for it. Isn’t that true? God used his Word. He said, “Let there be light.” He came in the midst of chaos and he spoke. What God spoke came into being. We need to understand the power! What’s going on in our world, today, is that people are saying things and the word is coming like a boomerang. It’s coming right back at them. The words of people go out of their mouths and they have a boomerang effect. Because, whatever you sow, you’re going to reap. If you sow seeds of hatred and destruction, you’re going to reap that. It’s coming home to you.
Each of us must learn to effectively use anointed words. I’m going to emphasize it and I want you to get this. We need to use anointed words to destroy the works of the enemy. Proverbs 18:21 tells us the power of these words. In your life, in your home, in your city, in the world and in everything around you, you have to understand the power of your words. We need to learn that as Christians, we have anointed words. That means this… We must learn to speak what God has already blessed and declare what He has already said by quoting what He’s already put out there for us to say.
When you get in a crisis, don’t just try to come up with some new verbiage that you think might help you. Just quote what God said. He already, thousands of years ago, said it was acceptable. He already said, “I’ll defeat the enemy.” So, if I quote what He said, my chances are greater that I’ll get the results that He already said I’m going to get! Look! Your opinion on something isn’t going to make any sense. But, if you quote the scripture to it, that’s the anointed word! We must replace all idle, ineffective words, with anointed words.
